We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Sideloader Driver,  you will be moving long, heavy and awkward materials/components around the factory, loading and unloading, putting materials into storage and supplying production areas.

Ideally you will have previous sideloader, Combilift or multidirectional forklift experience rather than purely standard FLT experience. Suitable candidates should have strong material-handling experience, good health & safety awareness and be comfortable operating in a busy manufacturing environment.

Duties will include but not be limited to:

• Loading and unloading materials from delivery vehicles or storage areas.
• Transporting long, heavy or awkward loads, such as steel sections, metal components, timber, pipes, chassis components or fabricated assemblies.
• Moving materials between stores, production lines and manufacturing departments.
• Feeding production areas with the correct materials so manufacturing isn’t held up.
• Putting stock away into racking or designated storage locations.
• Safely manoeuvring loads through factory environments where space may be restricted.
• Carrying out pre-use checks on the sideloader and reporting defects.
• Checking loads are secure, balanced and within the truck’s capacity.
• Working closely with stores, production, logistics and material-control teams.
• Potentially carrying out stock movements/scanning using a warehouse or ERP system.
• Following site-specific health and safety and traffic-management procedures.

Hours of work:  07.30am to 17.00pm Monday to Thursday with an early finish on Fridays
